Frequently Asked Questions

Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions that we hear. If you can’t find the information that you’re looking for then please get in touch with us, we’d be more than happy to chat and answer any questions that you have.

Do my worktops need to be removed before templating?

No, we are able to template with the existing worktops still in place as long as the cabinets underneath do not move on removal.
The worktops must be removed before we come to fit. We will not remove old worktops for you.

We aim for a week to 10 days between templating and fitting, however this may vary depending upon location and current workload.

  • Our granite for kitchen worktops is recommended to be 30mm thick.
  • Quartz worktops are available in 20mm or 30mm thickness.
  • Neolith and Lapitec worktops can be 12mm thick.
  • If you would like worktops any thicker than 30mm, we would need to build up and mitre the edges to your desired thickness.
  • If you have had granite worktops, we seal them once during manufacture and once after we fit them. We will leave you with a Care Kit which contains a sealant (Lithofin Stain Stop). This can be used to re-seal your worktops which we recommend doing at least once every year (depending upon the amount of use the worktops get you may need to seal more often.)
  • Quartz worktops will not need sealing as they are non-porous.

Yes, we have a selection of sinks and taps available that we are able to supply for you.

If you have seen or heard of a different granite that you would like a quote in, send us a photo of it and we can see if we can get hold of it or if we have a similar alternative.

We recommend using a mild antibacterial spray or neutral soap and water to clean both granite and quartz.

If you are using washing up liquid to wipe down your worktops, you may find this leaves a thin film on top of the worktop that may start to dull or stain the surface over time. To avoid this, try to dry your worktops after using washing up liquid.
